This picture was taken on NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment camera (the HiRISE) taken in 2007 shows the deposition layer in the region of Valles Marineris (Valles, Marineris) a plateau. Scientists believe that the sedimentary layers of milky silicon and ferric sulfate is formed in the role of the acidic water. The photo was taken about 1.2 km square area.
